Translators
Language Monster gives translators the context they need to produce accurate translations. Strings are displayed in project context, and developers can leave notes on individual keys explaining how and where a string appears in the interface. When a string is ambiguous, the note is visible before you begin — not discovered after a job is submitted.
The Glossary provides mandatory terminology guidance. The active Glossary for each project shows all approved terms for product names, branded phrases, and mandated vocabulary. The same terms are applied automatically in any MT pre-translation, so machine translation suggestions will already respect the Glossary when you review them.
Translation Memory shows previous translations for identical or similar strings. When a string has been translated before, the memory suggestion is shown alongside the source. Accepting a memory match is faster than translating from scratch and ensures phrasing remains consistent across the product.
Quality checks run in real time. Spelling and grammar are checked in the target language as you work, placeholder integrity is validated on save, and number format consistency is verified. Issues are flagged inline so you can correct them immediately rather than receiving a batch of rejections.
Human translation work commissioned through Language Monster uses Gengo, a professional translation marketplace. Translators see the full job context, Glossary requirements, and notes from the development team. Per-word rates are fixed and visible upfront.
